Mel’s Green Garden Tip of the Day: When grabbing some flowers in the winter to beat spring fever, grab the potted bulbs if possible, they will last much longer and can be planted in your yard in the spring when you are planting annuals.

My absolute favorite is potted hyancinths, it will make your entire room smell like southern California. When the flower has died, then just simply place it in a grocery sack in a basement until time to plant.
