You are speaking to someone who know very little about gardening so please pardon the questions that may seem obvious to others!! Once you paint the pots with yogurt, do you have the dry in the sun? How long? Do you was it off after it dries?

Don’t wash it off. Paint the outside of the pot fairly thick with plain yogurt. Leave it in the shade for a month or so and moss will grow on it. Or, you can put it in the sun for the white patina look.
